My poem that was in The Re:Verse exhibition earlier this year is now in an anthology that can be found in Dartford Library!
Iris- an acrostic 06.04.16
Irresistible baby blue eyes,
Radiating pureness from the skies,
Immeasurable beauty shining free,
She is the siren of the tranquil sea.
The Big C
Not Christmas, cancer
That god awful disease,
Sucking the life blood from loved ones.
For some it has taken it all,
Others still bravely fighting on,
Weakened but in no way defeated.
Loved ones slowly tortured,
Watched by worrying relations,
Wondering if or when.
It’s time now to find a way,
To discover the cure,
To eradicate this abhorrent affliction.
With Each Year
With each year comes change,
But one thing remains the same,
Always and ever,
Affection gives me the strength,
To face the trials ahead .

Poem of The Day: To Autumn by John Keats
Re:Verse Exhibition
This is my poem on display at the Re:Verse Exhibition at the Peter Blake Gallery in Dartford Library.
Just one of approximately 30 poems by 19 local poets. Accompanied by some fabulous illustrations.
Some unexpected yet happy news!
So this happened today. I’m a little stunned! But very very happy!
Cyclone of The Sea (July 2017)
The vortex is a tempestuous cyclone,
Tearing maniacally through turbulent water,
A spinning ball of lustrous mercury,
Full of fish as fast as supercars,
Racing round the infamous Nurburgring.
Tiny, silver, phosphorescent
moonbeams glitter in the waves,
Darting through the H20 like speeding bullets,
Schools of opalescent stream-lined fish,
Writhing in ocean as blue as precious perfect topaz.
You, Only You
You still me,
You remind me to breathe,
You are my peace.
You console me,
You wipe away my tears,
You are my calm.
You infuriate me,
You make my anger love,
You are my fire.
You stroke me,
You ignite me with your touch,
You are my desire.
You tease me,
You make me laugh and cry,
You are my everything.
You lift me,
You make me thankful,
You are my world.
You love me,
You make me love you too,
You are my soul, my life, my love.
Your Child
(a poem written for the angel babies in the world)
To my mummy,
You never held me,
But I knew your heartbeat from the inside.
To my daddy,
You never kissed me,
But I heard your voice from within.
To my parents,
You didn’t see me,
But I will always be your child.
